The Calgary & District Amateur Softball Association (C.D.A.S.A.) or Softball Calgary, are one and the same. The official name of the organization is Calgary and District Amateur Softball Association. More recently, the term 'Softball Calgary' has been used as the operating name of the Association. Formed in 1948, Softball Calgary is a registered non-profit Society in the Province of Alberta.
Softball Calgary is an organization with 13 Member Leagues. These leagues represent over 3,000 players on 200 teams including an affiliation of 130 Minor Teams who belong to Calgary Minor Softball Association. The member leagues of Softball Calgary represent a large number of slo-pitch and fast-pitch players of all ages and levels.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Softball Calgary is governed by an elected Executive Board. They are the volunteer executive officers in charge of setting policy and procedure, budgeting and financial operations, and overseeing the development of new projects & programs. The staff of Softball Calgary look after the day to day operations of the association. The Softball Calgary offices are open year around, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm each day (except statutory holidays and the annual Christmas closure).

About: Lindsay grew up in Calgary and has been playing softball since she was 8 years old. She has played in multiple leagues under the Calgary Minor Softball Association, the Calgary Industrial Softball Association, the Calgary Women's Fastpitch Association, and the Alberta Intercollegiate Women's Fastball Association for the University of Calgary. She currently plays in the Rocky Mountain Slo Pitch League. Off the ball diamond, she is a Registered Psychologist, an ambitious but mediocre gardener, and a seasoned traveller, always anxiously awaiting the next adventure with her partner, Callum.
President shall, when present, preside at all meetings of the Association, General Assembly and Executive and shall, at the direction of the Executive appoint all Committee Chairpersons and supervise the activity thereof. The President shall be an ex-officio member of all Committees. At the direction of the President, the books of the Association shall be audited by an Accountant, prior to the Annual Meeting. The President shall be one of the alternate signing authorities at the Association Banking Institution.

In case of absence, resignation or disqualification the first Vice-President shall assume the responsibilities of the President and shall be one of the alternate signing authorities at the Association Banking Institution. The first Vice-President shall be the Chairman of the Policy Committee. In the absence of the first Vice-President, the second Vice-President shall assume the responsibilities of the President. In the absence of the President, first Vice-Present and second Vice-President, the third Vice-President shall assume the responsibilities of the President. In the absence of all of the foregoing a Chairman may be elected from the Executive and ratified by a majority vote to preside.

About: Trevor has been playing ball for 43 years.

STEVE ANTONCHUK
About: Steve works in the IT industry in Calgary and has played slo-pitch with RMSL for 20 years. He has, at times, served as a team captain, league president, tournament coordinator and now, part of Softball Calgary director. When not on the field, Steve keeps busy with Muay Thai, boxing, karate, and golf.
DESIRAE PATERSON
About: Desirae is a corporation manager who oversees board governance and capital investments. She has been actively involved in the Calgary softball community for the past 8 years, playing in multiple teams across the city. Outside of softball, Desirae enjoys backcountry camping and spending time with her Rottweiler/Pitbull, Lola.

About: Beginning in the summer of 2026, Mark joined Softball Calgary as Sports Coordinator after building a background in marketing and the ski tourism industry while always hoping to transition into a career connected to athletics and community recreation. Mark holds a Marketing Management degree from University of Guelph and continues to compete in both hockey and lacrosse leagues, while also having played softball, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and a variety of other sports recreationally over the years. He is excited to be part of the continued growth of Softball Calgary and looks forward to helping create a positive experience for players, teams, and the broader softball community.
